My beloved "Pally"
I dropped by here today, to see how the reno was coming along. Still not too much to jump and holler about, but they uncovered this neat window above the main entrance. I also love the next shot, which I got from the bridge. You can see through the broken window, right through the other side of the building to the lake. Beautiful.

Wow! I was doing a search for Palais Royale and came across these pix of the "before". What a huge difference between then and now! We taped some of our Designer Superstar Challenge episodes there in October of '06 -- the place is simply gorgeous and fully restored.
I really enjoyed your article about the rich history behind it, too!
